STANDARD POODLE
(Charlie)
Charlie is our resident stud. He is a purebred Standard Poodle who is full of athletic energy, smarts, and endless hours of fun. Poodles are easy to train, as they quickly learn new tricks and eagerly follow commands. They are loyal and are known to bond quickly with their family members. They do best when their bodies and minds are exercised regularly.
Standard Poodles have curly, low-allergen coats that require regular grooming. Typical adult male Standard Poodles weigh between 50 and 70 pounds and adult females range from 40 to 50 pounds.
BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG
(Lola)
Lola is our “Berner,” a.k.a. purebred Bernese Mountain Dog. This breed is a big and powerful working breed that depends on its family for love and affection. This breed does best in the home with lots of attention, versus spending the majority of its time in a kennel or back yard. Berners are extremely affectionate and sensitive, making them great candidates for training by a firm, but patient and loving owner. Once they are your friend, they are your friend for life.
Berners make wonderful watch dogs, but are not overly dominant. Their beautiful tri-colored coats (jet black, clear white, rust) are thick, silky, and moderately long. Male Bernese Mountain Dogs are typically between 85 and 110 pounds and females range from 80 to 105 pounds.
SAINT BERNARD
(Molly)
Molly is our purebred Saint Bernard, also known as a “gentle giant.” The affectionate nickname is perfect for this breed, as they are known as “Nanny” dogs, with their gentle nature, and careful demeanor around children as well as their sheer strength, making them incredible assets as working dogs. Saint Bernards are not only friendly and expressive, but they are powerful and intelligent. They are slow-moving, patient, obedient, extremely loyal, eager, and willing to please. Saint Bernards have beautiful white, reddish/brown, and black coats that are either smooth, close, and flat to their bodies, or are dense and rough, making them fond of cooler weather. Both males and females typically range between 120 and 200 pounds.
